highlight of the day was without a doubt watching the tiger cup finals LIVE at the national stadium. thank goodness i received a last minute call from a friend who said he had an extra ticket. i wouldn't exchange anything for this golden opportunity seriously. atmosphere was rocking and excitment filled the air. we got there like really early ( 5.30pm to be exact ) to ensure we could get the best view. endured 2 hours under the scorching sun but it was all worthwhile. its heartening to see how united singaporeans can actually get. the sea of red, the kallang wave, the national anthem, cheers, chants, clapping and us taunting the indonesian fans with all the malay expletives. felt a little guilty as i didn't wear red because i wasn't expecting to go in the first place. and as all of you would probably know by now, singapore took the match 2-1 and the cup 5-2 on aggregate. credit goes to the singapore players. they played really really well. what you see on tv and what is shown live is definitely very different. you really have to be there to witness the match to feel it. supper after @ glutton square. came home feeling satisfied.
