i had this coming. i knew i was going to be the first person to damage the new car. true enough it happened today. i was turning out of the multi storey carpark very slowly because it was soooo narrow. and i was already being very careful trying to negotiate the bend but the inevitable had to take place. my side skirt of the car scrapped the kerb and it left very nasty scratch marks on the paintwork. fortunately the main body of the car was untouched or else the repair costs would be hefty. guess ill have to send it to the mechanics tomorrow to get a replacement side skirt. and for those who are wondering what a side skirt is, its actually this additional piece of plastic that is attached to both sides of the car in between the wheels to make the car look visually lower than others thus making it very much more sports like. anyway i stayed home pretty much the entire day and caught half of singapore idol on tv. must admit i found the theme tonight pretty interesting. at least it was something different from usual. left my house halfway through the show to meet clifford at olio dome. kind of a last minute thing decision. marns came slighty later to join us since she didnt take her dinner yet. potblack after with good ol' photohunt to wrap up the night!
