Zoukout '05 Review

well zoukout is finally over. at least for this year. some random thoughts about the event.

-wasn't as packed as i predicted it to be although the usual jammed pack entry queues and crowded drink queues could be seen.

-people from all walks of life came down for the event. young/old/tourist and the list goes on and on. it was an experience to see everyone in a mega clubbing event like this.

-surprisingly, there is quite a high percentage of pretty girls in bikinis. but then again it could be because it was dark at night. hur hur.

-for once i was dancing on the podium in an open environment. quite an experience i must admit. it was fun while it lasted. a pity mambo stopped at 2am. but thankfully i didn't miss all of my 3 favourite mambo songs.

-heavy rain really kills the party mood. thankfully it only started raining at 4am.

-i saw fiona xie at velvet vip area. haha.

-apparently there's a kind of i-want-to-have-sex dance that this particular lady was trying out on a caucasian guy. lol it was damn amusing watching her.

-i don't understand how people can have sex in the open just behind the barrier that almost everybody can see through. as a gesture of courtesy, do lower your voices and do it discreetly. its quite a disturbing sight.

-they should use another colour (e.g. yellow) for the zoukout wristband. i didn't think that pink looked good on guys.

-guys with no bod should just keep their shirts on. seriously.

-girls wearing bikinis should not dance in the pouring rain when the chilling wind is blowing non stop because certain body reactions occur after and it isn't very pleasant. for those clueless about what im talking about at this point of time, lets just keep it that way.

that pretty much sums up my experience at zoukout 2005. well i must say it was a half-half kind of feeling. didn't really enjoy myself that much but at the same time i wasn't really that bored.
